What in the name of "Salty Happened?

I noticed that my readers want more sports rants. So here they are!

In a heartbreaking loss in which the Red Sox lost 5-4. It all came down to the 9th inning. The inning of heartbreak and triumph. The inning where awful mistakes are made and thats what happened here. A couple poor decisions cost us the game. Actually... A couple bad decisions from Jared Saltalamacchia and our manager John Farrell for not replacing "Salty". The Red sox had tied it up in that 8th inning and we were looking good up until Koji Uehara came in and gave up a hit. However that played a role in this, that was not the main problem. The main problem was that once we got Yadier Molina out at home "Salty" felt it necessary to throw it to third and lose us the game. Then the second unfortunate thing happened. Will Middlebrooks was called for obstruction! Those 2 things really cost us the game from my point of view and if you watched the umpires afterwords they had no idea what they were talking about! They were like rule 7.04, and then another one of them would say something like "that doesn't apply you are thinking of rule 2.4". All in all a very unfortunate game.

  1. I suppose that the umps were being fair. If that call had been in our favor, we would have been totally fine with it. Ironically enough, Jim Joyce (ump who made the call), was the same ump who spoiled Armando Galaraggas Perfect Game a few years back.
